BALLET | POINTE
Kayla Muirhead hails from Atlanta, GA where she obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Dance from Brenau University. Her training at Brenau involved Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Tap, Jazz, Ballroom, West African, Modern, and Contemporary. Her academic studies included Pedagogy, Dance Production, World Dance Perspectives, Composition, Choreography & Production, and Dance History. Kayla has been given the opportunity to engage in classes and perform works choreographed by Robert Barnett, Maniya Barredo, Anthony Burrell, Tiffany Carson, Allyne Gartrell, John Magnus, Nicholas Pacana, and Nick Palmquist.
Miss Kayla has received scholarships from and taken part in summer intensives at the American Academy of Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, Orlando Ballet, Nashville Ballet, and the National Choreography Intensive as a student choreographer. Her love and appreciation for dance fuels her desire to attain and share the knowledge that has been given to her.
